Two injured in head-on collision
Specialised tools were used to free the man after which, he was given advanced life support
Two men were injured following a head-on collision on Pretoria Road, Fairleads, on September 9.
According to Russel Meiring, communications officer for ER24, emergency personnel responded to calls of an accident at 17:02.
“Upon arrival the medical team found that the driver of one of the vehicles was trapped inside the vehicle, while the other, who had sustained moderate injuries, was standing at the accident scene,” said Meiring.
“Medics assessed the men and found that the entrapped man was in critical condition.”
Both the patients were treated and transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
Members of the EMPD were also on scene to conduct investigations into the cause of the accident.
