Routine operations lead to more arrests.

Routine operations conducted by members of the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) from September 14 to 16 have led to the arrest of six suspects, aged between 25 and 37.

Possession of drugs
Two suspects were arrested for possession of drugs at Station Road and Wenden Avenue, Brakpan and one in September Street, Rabie Ridge, Tembisa.

Heroin and Mandrax were confiscated.

Robbery
On September 15 at 14:30, patrolling members were stopped in Yellow Fish Street, Bonaero Park, by a woman claiming that she had been robbed of two cell phones by two men that fled on foot.

Officers gave chase in the direction in which they fled. With the victim’s detailed description, they apprehended the suspects.

“They were found in possession of the stolen phones and arrested on the spot,” said Warrant Officer Grant Giblin, BFS spokesperson.
