Steady donations made to SPCA Cheer Fund

Donations opened early in October and will run until the end of December.

The Benoni SPCA’s Cheer Fund contributions has this week jumped from R7 770 to R13 140, all thanks to the generous public.

Individuals and companies have come on board to donate towards the fund, which kicked off on October 1.

The society is hoping to raise about R100 000. The fund will run until the end of December.

Every year around Christmas time, the SPCA finds its kennels full to the brim with donated, stray and abandoned animals.

The purpose of the Cheer Fund is to raise funds to cater for all the furry friends that must be fed and to give some Christmas treats to all the unfortunate pets behind bars.
