Flying squad seize drugs

Continued operations are aimed at eradicating crime.

Members of the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) closed the net on seven suspected drug dealers during Easter weekend operations.

Between April 8 and 10, crystal meth and Mandrax were seized in the separate incidents.

“The suspects were arrested on Wenden Avenue, High Road, Escombe and Station streets, Brakpan, as well as Greyilla and Kerk streets, Kempton Park,” said Warrant Officer Grant Giblin, the BFS spokesperson.

Further policing led the officers to Kingsway Road, Daveyton, where an abandoned, orange Renault Captur was recovered. The vehicle was reported as hijacked in Daveyton.
