Police vans, from seven police stations within the Ekurhuleni Zone 2, flooded the Benoni Police Station’s yard, on July 28 delivering more than 263.2 litres of confiscated booze, for destruction. Confiscations were made during concentrated routine operations focussing on liquor outlets operating illegally, in Benoni, Actonville, Crystal Park, Daveyton, Boksburg, Reiger Park and Etwatwa. Under the watchful eye of acting station commander, Colonel Khumbulani Ndaba, the items were catalogued prior to its destruction, undertaken by SAPS members and Crime Prevention Wardens.
