BFS crime news
The unit continuously conducts routine operations in an effort to stamp out crime.
Routine operations conducted by members of the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) has led to the arrest of the three suspects, aged 26 to 34.
Between August 28 and September 2, suspects were arrested in Ext 5, Ivory Park, Long Street, Kempton Park and Elston Avenue, Benoni.
The suspects were arrested on charges of being in possession of drugs with the intent to sell.
Heroin and meth were confiscated in these separate incidents.
Officers further recovered three abandoned vehicles which has been reported as stolen or hijacked.
The recovered vehicles included:
• A white Hyundai H100 was found on Putfontein Road, Cloverdene.
• A white BMW 3-series was recovered in Clayville.
• A white Isuzu was found in Ext 15, Ivory Park.
Investigations are continuing.
