THIS OFFICE HAS NO OBJECTION TO THE ABOVE-MENTIONED APPLICANT TO HOST AN OPEN- AIR MUSICAL FESTIVAL; ON THE 3RD OF OCTOBER 2026 AT ANEW HOTEL AND CONVENTION CENTRE, 1 COUNTRY LANE, BENONI LAKEFIELD FROM 10H00 TO 22H00 PROVIDED THAT THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE STRICTLY ADHERES TO: Your application received on September 01, 2026, in the above matter refers:
1. All sensitive and neighboring residents are informed in writing one-week (7) days prior to the date of the event.
2. The requirements promulgated under Section 13(1)(2)(3)(4)(5) Part2 of the Gauteng Noise Control Regulations, 1999 issued in terms of the Environmental Conservation Act (Act 73 of 1989) be adhered to.
3. The ambient noise levels at any time not to exceed 95dBA on the boundary of the said premises
4. No loud music is played after 22h00 at night. The location of the loudspeaker equipment is placed as to minimize noise emissions into potentially sensitive areas.
5. Noise levels must be monitored by a qualified acoustic engineer and measurements taken according to the acceptable guidelines as laid down in the Southern African National Standards (SANS 10103 of 2008)
6. This office must be notified of any noise complaints during and after the concert.
7. This office is allowed to enter the premises at any time for inspection.
