Due to the postal strike, which has been on for months, the previously disadvantaged people are once again being disadvantaged.
Hundreds of people living in the rural areas are studying at distance learning centres and universities.
This means they must submit their assessments through the post and, in turn, await their exam results through the post.
These people have now been robbed of their certificates and diplomas and, because of the postal strike, their assignments are not reaching education institutions.
Those affected have probably been studying for years, now, near the end of the year, they are waiting to receive recognition for their hard work, but assignments have not reached their destination.
These assignments are probably in the trash can, in drains or even destroyed on the streets.
Is this fair, because they do not possess email facilities?
There are also people who have paid subscriptions for books and magazines and, due to the strike, this literature, although paid for, has not been received by those who ordered it.
It has been suggested, by readers of some newspapers, that all these strikers be shown the door and that people (hundreds of them) who are desperately looking for work be employed in their place.
Hopefully the postal service will then, once again, be revived.
