Rowdy neighbours ruined my leave

If this continues - and the guilty party knows who they are - I will get my lawyers involved.

Sally Grant, Western Extension, writes:

Over Christmas, I was on leave for two-and-a-half weeks.

I chose to stay at home and catch up with things that I had neglected throughout the year.

It came to my attention that people do not respect each other or their rights.

My neighbours, who are all tenants, chose to make a lot of noise, from fixing cars and revving them to shouting at each other instead of talking, blasting music, drinking and driving and then throwing their empty beer bottles on my pavement and carrying on like hooligans.

Their children, who are still very young, were crying most of the day, and the older ones were allowed to tease the younger ones.

I raised my three children on my own and never did they scream and cry all day.

This is not acceptable.

What is happening to this generation?

I brought this to the attention of the respective landlords.

I took leave to recuperate, besides my duties at home.

It is a disgrace that tenants are allowed to carry on like this with no respect for their next-door neighbours.

I am glad to be back at work and to get some peace.
