Smith shines at Syringa

Benoni's Slade Smith continues to make an impression.

Benoni’s Slade Smith, raced in the third round of the South African National MSA Motocross Championship, on Saturday, July 6, at the Syringa circuit in Muldersdrift.

Smith had not had the chance to practise on the brand new, revamped circuit due to other commitments, but he won both his heats in the 85cc Class on his Mailwise International KTM.

The young rider was four seconds faster than any of the other riders in the class and he took the overall win in fine style.

He also rode in the older Pro Mini Class (for children up to the age of 15) and managed a fourth and a fifth placing respectively in his two heats, placing him in fourth overall for the day, missing third place by only one point.

Round Four moves to KwaZulu-Natal, where Smith hopes to retain his winning streak, with the South African National MSA title firmly in his sights.
