Pigeons fly from Bloemfontein

The young birds were liberated on Saturday, June 28, at 8.45am and the old birds at 9.30am.

The young bird race was won by Gert De Necker/Joe Gomes, who clocked in at 1;55;47pm, at a velocity of 1,270.471mpm, and the old bird race was won by John Field, who clocked in at 1;39;17pm, at a velocity of 1,270.811mpm.

Field is on top of his game and is currently leading the averages in both the club and union.
