Ebotse Parkrun to celebrate third anniversary

The Ebotse Parkrun welcomes well over 500 runners every Saturday and the initiative is continually growing in popularity among those who are looking to get their weekly fitness fix.

Comrades legend Bruce Fordyce and Benonian Iain Morshead first hosted a Parkrun at Ebotse on June 16, 2012 and now the run is the fifth biggest Parkrun in the country.

The men’s record over the 5km route is held by Michael Pienaar with a time of 15 minutes and 48 seconds, while Robyn Kaltenbrunn holds the women’s record with a time of 19 minutes and 57 seconds.

The run starts at 8am sharp every Saturday at the Rynfield Dam.
