Coaches meet their golden boy

Glenn and Milka Keevy, coaches at the Benoni-based Swift Aquatics Swimming Club, were extremely proud to meet their “old boy”, Douglas Erasmus, at OR Tambo International Airport, on Saturday, September 12.

Erasmus returned home from The All Africa Games, in Brazzaville, in the Congo, with two gold medals, which he won for the 50m freestyle individual event and the 100m freestyle relay.

The golden swimmer started with Glenn in 2005 and continued until he matriculated from CBC Boksburg in 2009.

He is currently studying at the University of Pretoria, where he competes for Tuks Aquatics.

In giving back to his swimming roots, Erasmus regularly returns during their season to Swift Aquatics and to Eastern Gauteng Aquatics, to compete, give motivational talks and valuable tips to local swimmers.
