Building partnerships with the bat is one of the most crucial and important elements in cricket.
Two youngsters who showcased this ability on Saturday, February 4 were Benoni Northerns Cricket Club’s (BNCC) u-10 B team players Matthew Robinson and Callum Charnock.
The two were involved in a 95-run partnership in their match against Alberton.
Robinson played the role of the aggressor, scoring 79 runs not out, while his partner at the other end played the anchor role, scoring 16 runs not out.
The former also displayed his all-round talent by taking 3/7 in three overs and making two stumpings.
The young Northerns outfit would win the game by eight wickets.
