Clarke does the Trans Drak for baby

The thought of his unborn child kept him going.

Rynfield resident Bradley Clark won the challenging Trans Drakensberg Quest (Trans Drak), which was held on March 10 and 11.

The Trans Drak takes place in Harrismith in the Free State and covers 186km and 3 350m of ascent, challenging the most experienced mountain bike rider.

Clarke finished in a time of eight hours and nine minutes to secure the victory with the next best rider AC Swanepoel coming in a whole 23 minutes after Clarke.

What drove the Benonian to his great success?

When interviewed after the race he was asked what his biggest motivation was, to which he replied:

“I found out two days ago that my girlfriend, Kaylee-Jane is pregnant and that kept me pushing through, no pain, just the thought of baby kept me motivated.”
