Second for Sime-Riley at 2018 SA Derby

It was a close call for the local.

SA Derby 2017 champion Nicola Sime-Riley of Benoni Agricultural Holdings’ Sunny Park Equestrian Centre, on her horse Sunny Park Stables El Paso, could not retain her title after a jump-off against Kelly O’Connor in the final main event at the Bob Charter Arena at Kyalami Equestrian Park on September 30.

The Benonian showjumper left the shorted track standing in a speedy 44 seconds in the jump-off, leaving it all up to O’Connor to claim the title.

O’Connor did just that, winning it in 41 seconds.
