Great race planned for runners
The 42.2km starts at 06:30 while the half-marathon will start at 06:45 and 10km at 07:00.
The countdown has begun to the Benoni Northerns Marathon, sponsored by Kwikscaff on July 3.
The race team has finalised the route – a fast and flat double-lapper through Northmead, Rynfield and Ebotse golf estate.
The 42.2km is the final official Comrades Marathon qualifier in Gauteng before the qualifying period closes on July 12, making it ideal to test your legs and improve seeding before the Comrades in August.

With electronic timing by Chamberlains Timekeeping in partnership with Finish Time, results are available on the same day and will be sent automatically to the Comrades Marathon for qualification purposes.
Not up for a marathon? Enter the half marathon or the 10km race. Runners and walkers of all fitness levels are very welcome for these events. All participants can look forward to a great route, well-stocked refreshment tables and friendly marshals.
The race will start and finish at the Benoni Northerns Sports Club grounds on the corner of O’Reilly Merry and Brodigan Street, Northmead, Benoni.

The 42.2km starts at 06:30 while the half-marathon will start at 06:45 and 10km at 07:00.
Online entries will close on Sunday, June 26, or when the entry cap is reached. Runners can go to https://bnac.co.za/bnacmarathon for more information, and to enter.
Late entries will be available at Benoni Northerns Sports Club on Saturday, July 2 between 09:00 and 12:00.
