Karatekas impress sensei

Their dedication, discipline and hard work paid off

The New World Shotokan (NWS) Karate Crystal Park Dojo students collected 20 medals in total at the NWS Championship, held in Brakpan, on June 18.

The dojo’s instructor, Louis Ramakulukusha commended his karatekas for their dedication.

“Their dedication, discipline and hard work paid off. These guys are a good example to the local boys and girls on how they can utilise their leisure time to exercise and learn life skills and self-defence.

“Some of these members were brought to karate because of being bullied in schools. Our training has not only equipped them with self-defence capabilities but also with assertive skills. These guys are the future Proteas.”

Three of sensei Ramakulukusha’s students collected six medals at the NWS Championship held in Nelspruit on May 21.
