St Dunstan’s learner to take part in Baseball World Cup in USA
He came second in the doubles and mixed doubles events
St Dunstan’s Grade 12 learner, Robert White was invited by the Badminton Confederation of Africa to attend Nigeria’s Internationals in Lagos from August 31 to September 3.
Robert returned to South African on September 5 and will fly to USA on September 6 to play in the U19 Baseball World Cup as a member of the South African team.
He recently participated in the Kimberley Senior Badminton Open tournament on August 12 and 13.
He won the singles event – beating two players that participated in the recent Commonwealth Games (one in the semi-finals and the other in the finals). Further to this, he came second in the doubles and mixed doubles events.
