The Salvation Army says thanks

Salvation Army Family Care Centre manager Carol Rennie writes:

Major Dianne Jones and the staff at the Salvation Army Family Care Centre wish to sincerely thank our friends, companies and service clubs for all the help and donations we received last year.

To say that things are getting harder would be an understatement.

The call for accommodation is critical.

People are coming from all over to Gauteng looking for jobs, so we are always full.

Over and above the centre, we feed approximately 2 000 people in the townships, in the form of luncheon clubs and crèches.

Distributing food parcels at our gate is also an ongoing operation.

None of the above could have been achieved without your help, both financially and in kind, as we do not receive a government subsidy.

Our motto, Hand to Man and Heart to God, is put into practice every day.

Together with the kindness of the public we can keep the Benoni Army Centre running and continue to help the community.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
