A bit of theatre to warm up the soul this winter
With the winter chills rapidly moving in, most of us prefer staying indoors, under a blanket, watching television and sipping cappuccino in our free time.
(At least, I know I do.)
However, the cold temperature still can’t keep some Benonians away from preparing shows from scratch to entertain us, purely out of love for theatre.
Our two local amateur theatre groups, the Protea Stage Productions and the Startime Players have both spent weeks to prepare their latest offerings that will be staged till the end of the month for the community’s enjoyment.
These lively performers are all about giving their audiences a good time, and I feel this much passion put into a show must be worth enjoying.
In my career I have had the privilege to see the performance these groups offer that definitely exceeded my expectations and gave me a good laugh.
