Miss Gay and Mr Lesbian pageant helps to create awareness

The Miss Gay Daveyton Foundation will be hosting the Miss Gay and Mr Lesbian Daveyton pageant on Friday, October 3.

The event aims to create much needed awareness about gay and lesbian people.

“We want to reach out to those who do not understand homosexuals, and create a platform for gay and lesbian people to express themselves,” said Lesiba Mothibe, organiser and former Miss Gay Daveyton.

This year’s event will feature 10 Miss Gay and six Mr Lesbian contestants.

The event will start at 7pm, in the Two Tone Lounge, on the corner of Barwa Street and Fokeng Street.
