Danayla’s Hair and Nail Bar, at the Northmead Mall, could be your next beauty treatment corner – if it is not already.
- Blow out and Mizani treatment:
For this treatment, Mitzi Jackson, hairstylist, used Mizani products which she recommends for people with ethnic hair.
I first had my hair washed with Mizani shampoo and moisture fuse.
A Fiberfyl product was then applied.
Mitzi said the Fiberfyl is important as it strengthens the hair immediately after it is applied.
After the wash, the hair was combed to straighten it and remove loose hair and knots.
For the blow, Mitzi used a blow dry method and a brush to dry and smooth out the hair.
To finish and strengthen my hair, two drops of Mizani Supreme Oil were applied.
- Straight up hairstyle:
You can never go wrong with a classic straight up hairstyle.
Crystal van Niekerk (15) was more than willing to receive the treatment on her hair.
Sharon de la Guerre, owner of Danayla’s, first combed Crystal’s hair and then divided it – in preparation for the hairstyle.
Her hair was braided on the sides with the two parts later being joined together.
A straightener was then used to curl the hair.
Sharon applied hair spray and Surround Shine to give the hair a beautiful shine.
Crystal was pleased with the results of her classic straight up hairstyle.
