Phola Vibez, which is the Sibikwa platform for young performers, presents its second jazz afternoon with renowned jazz cat Mongezi Conjwa on July 29.
Conjwa is a pianist who completed an honours degree at the University of Cape Town and was elected to play the keys in the National Youth Jazz Band for three consecutive years.

With this band, led by Carlo Mombelli, he appeared at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival, Joy of Jazz and Awesome Africa Jazz.
Since 2004, Conjwa travelled in and out of South Africa either as a soloist or accompanist which enabled him to interact with musicians from other parts of the world.
He later formed part of another youth jazz band led by Zim Ngqawana where he had the opportunity to perform his own compositions.
Tickets are on sale at the Sibikwa Arts Centre on Liverpool Road for R40 and the session commends at 2pm.
