Mothwa Haven hosts wellness day

Residents and guests brought their yoga mats and had the choice of a variety of vendors serving delicious treats, food, cake and gadgets.

LOCAL old-age home Mothwa Haven held a fundraising event called Wellness Day on August 19. Residents and guests brought their yoga mats and had the choice of a variety of vendors serving delicious treats, food, cake and gadgets. According to the Mothwa Haven general manager, Kasthurie Naicker, the Mothwa Haven residents enjoyed the event and were thrilled to have their families and friends join the fun.

“We featured cosmic moments – discovering the art of yoga, mindfulness and meditation. The session covered breathwork and sound healing. We had a Taebo instructor, who presented a full-body workout session. House of Dance dance instructors demonstrated and taught a choreography piece with ABBA music, and senior dancers entertained the guests with dance,” said Naicker.
