About us
It’s the little paper with a big heart that visits your home every week delivering local news that affects you and connects you with local advertisers to help you make the best possible, pocket-friendly shopping choices. At Berea Mail, we’re all about you, our readers.
We love to share in your successes and achievements, raise your concerns and social issues that threaten our neighbourhoods with local authorities and make you aware of the villains and dangers that infiltrate our communities.
Over the years we’ve followed your children from that first day at big school through 12 years of prize-givings and academic achievements.
We’ve been on the sidelines at rugby matches, swimming galas, athletic meets and in the audience at stage productions, musicals and debating contests.
We’ve built relationships with civic leaders, church leaders, business leaders, student leaders, artists, musicians, authors and a host of charities whom we gladly support, and through our print pages and our online platforms we have introduced them all to you.
As a team, we have met some of the most amazing individuals that make up the Berea community.
We’ve shared heart-warming and uplifting stories, we’ve shed tears in times of tragedy and we’ve joined hands in times of prayer.
We’ve marched together united against violence, partied together at music festivals on the beach and in the gardens, we’ve shared countless breakfasts, dinners and cocktails at various events, been part of the same audience at the theatre and when called upon, have rallied support when needed.
We do all this not because it is our job, but because you are our people and the Berea is our home from home.
We strive to present a cross-section of news and features honestly, without bias and fact-checked because we want to be your number one, reliable and most trusted news source.
