Three suspects killed in Cato Manor shoot-out
A police and private security pursuit ended in a shoot-out in Cato Manor, leaving three suspected wanted criminals dead.
THREE men have been killed in a shoot-out with police and private security officials in Cato Manor this afternoon (Thursday, September 10).
The incident, which left a fourth man injured, happened at about 15:00 along Cato Manor Road and Corona Road. The suspects were reportedly wanted in connection with a series of business robberies and other crimes.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said they received reports of multiple gunshots being heard in the area at about 14:00. Paramedics were immediately dispatched after being informed that there were multiple casualties with gunshot wounds.
Jamieson said, “Paramedics arrived on scene to find four wanted suspects wanted for multiple crimes were being followed by officials when the shoot-out occurred.

“Three out of the four men sustained fatal injuries; they were declared deceased on the scene and the fourth male suffered minor injuries. He was taken to hospital under police guard for further care.”
He added that no injuries were sustained by security personnel and law enforcement officials who were in pursuit of the suspects.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area due to the active crime scene. Police were yet to comment at the time of publishing.
