SADTU Shutdown: Learners are being turned away from school in Eldos, south of Joburg
So far, it has been confirmed that learners at Kliptown Primary and Kliptown Secondary have been turned away from school.
Some schools in Eldorado Park sent learners back home on Monday and have asked parents to use their own discretion in sending their children to school, Westside Eldos reports.
According to Desmond Luvhengo, a former teacher at Klipspruit West Secondary School, a number of schools in Eldorado Park, Ennerdale and Pimville are being shut down by withdrawing teachers from the schools as of today because of allegations of racism in Eldorado Park schools.
“We want those seven teachers back at the Eldorado Park Secondary School,” he said in a statement.
