Glenwood sevens tourney swings into action

Teams from in and around Durban as well as other provinces will vie for the cup at this year's sevens tourney.

GET ready for a feast of rugby this weekend when Glenwood High School hosts its sevens tournament on Saturday, 17 August from 8am.

The tournament has been renamed because @lantic withdrew their sponsorship and now only sponsors one provincial tournament instead of the many regional tournaments. The Glenwood High School Sevens Tournament promises to have the same quality players and teams on display this Saturday as in the past, and the tournament will consist of 20 teams predominantly from KZN with three teams from Gauteng.

Local teams taking part are George Campbell, Glenwood, DHS, Port Natal, Clifton and KZN Development, with others from surrounding areas such as last year’s cup winners, Maritzburg College, Kingsway, Port Shepstone, Voortrekker and St Charles from Pietermaritzburg, Kearsney, Northwood, Westville, Michaelhouse, Pinetown and teams from other provinces such as Montana from Pretoria, Pionier from Vryheid, Lowveld from Nelspruit and Die Anker from Brakpan. Final playing pools have not yet been decided.
