Indigenous plant fair
Don't miss this year's indigenous plant fair at the Durban Botanic Gardens.

THE annual BotSoc (Botanical Society) Indigenous Plant Fair takes place on 7 and 8 September, from 9am to 4pm each day, at the Munies Sports Field, John Zikhali Road (Sydenham Road), Durban, just below the Durban Botanic Gardens.
This year resilient plants will be showcased. It’s an opportunity to learn more about an amazing spectrum of plants for a variety of habitats. There will be lots to see and hear, with displays of flora and fauna and conservation. Advice will be freely given from environmental experts.
The 2013 Indigenous Gardening Handbook will be on sale for R25 at nurseries and other outlets, two weeks before and during the fair. The content will include descriptions of plants on sale with features on soils, verges and special plants. The focus of the fair this special year is on “Resilience from the ground up”.
Entrance to the fair is R5 an adult with children entering free.
