Messages of condolences

The Musgrave and Glenwood community can express their messgaes of love and condolence to Madiba at the Musgrave Library which has one of the city's Condolence Books.

GLENWOOD and Musgrave residents converged on the Musgrave Library at the Glenwood Village Mall to express their feeling of loss of their icon Nelson Mandela in one of the city’s 150 Condolence Books.

Kay van Vuuren, 96, of the Essenwood Residential Home made a special trip to the Musgrave Library to pay her last respects to Nelson Mandela. She said that she was very glad to offer her last respects to a very special and great man.

Joyce Thandi Ngubani “I was celebrating the great work Tata Madiba did for us getting us out of slavery. It is sad also because we are mourning at the same time. I hope and wish somebody will come to follow in his footsteps.”

Ron Spector who also wrote a condolence message, said “Mandela saved the country, but they don’t do what he wanted. the government are not continuing his legacy.”
