Beachfront outlet opens its doors

Durban's beachfront offers locals and visitors a whole new experience.

ONE of the first of a string of exciting new establishments to be launched on Durban’s Golden Mile, the Bike & Bean was officially opened on Saturday. Earlier last month, the eThekwini Municipality announced that leases had been signed and selected restuarants and outlets would open between December and January.

Viki Ferreira, owner of the Bike & Bean has been providing bicycle rentals to locals and international guests for the last four years from Cyclesphere and Urban Cycles in Morningside. “For a few years now, I have been thinking about opening another bicycle rental facility and when the opportunity came up on the beachfront, I knew it was a sign,” says Ferreira.

Located on Country Club Beach, Bike & Bean Durban has the most amazing views and offers beach equipment rentals like bikes, we want to make coming to the beach easy, no need to pack a big bag of goodies and bring the whole kitchen with you – we have it all for you so that you may enjoy the beach with your family and friends,” said Ferreira adding, “we are hoping to attract families, friends and everyone who loves the beach as much as we do. We want to bring back those old childhood memories of going to the beach and having so much fun, that you didn’t want to go back to school in the new year. We want all our customers to create wonderful memories that will last a life time”.
