Family fun day fundraiser for Childline
Fun day will help raise funds for thousands of children helped by Childline in KZN.

CHILDLINE KZN will host an action-packed Family Fun Day on Sunday 23 February at People’s Park, Moses Mabhida Stadium.
In addition to bringing Durban families together for a day of fun in the sun, the event is being held to raise much-needed funds for the cash-strapped organisation.
For a modest entry fee of R30 per child and R50 per adult, the public will be able to enter the park and enjoy a wide variety of fun activities for the day.
“The venue and all the inflatable equipment has been generously sponsored by the Vivian Reddy Foundation and Rainbow Inflatables KZN, allowing us to retain most of the proceeds of the ticket sales for Childline KZN. Considering the very difficult financial position we are in at present, this is a real lifeline for us. We appeal to the public, young and old, to come and support us on Sunday 23 February, more importantly come and join us for a day of awesome fun and laughter,” said Vanespiri Pillay, Acting Operations Manager for Childline KZN.
Activities on offer will include an inflatable disco, paddle boats, giant water slides, a foam pit, a shooting tunnel, Zorb Balls, a Space Rocket, Sumo Wrestling, a Dunk Tank, Bungee Basketball, a Pillow Bash, Trikes and Balloon Wars. Children will be able to participate in as many activities as they like, and food will be available all day from stadium-approved vendors for purchase, alternatively families are welcome to bring their own picnic baskets.
As an organisation Childline helps tens of thousands of children each year through its Crisis Line, therapeutic counselling and outreach programmes. The Family Fun Day is an opportunity to celebrate family values, even as Childline exists to help those children and families who are victims of abuse.
The Childline Family Fun Day starts at 10 am and ends at 5pm, and tickets can be purchased from all Computicket outlets or at the gate on the day.
