Fun for all at Orient Sports Day

Orient Islamic School's athletics day saw young athletes smash records in a number of events.

KINGS Park Athletic stadium was packed with fun and a competitive spirit recently when Orient Islamic Intermediate leaners enjoyed a ‘Moon versus Sun’ inter-house athletics day as the Qamrs and Shams houses battled it out at the stadium.

The Sports Department from OIS, one of KZNs top academic achieving schools, arranged the event and were thrilled to see records broken and an all time high proud parental attendance.

Sports coach Pierre de Lange, a former provincial athlete said, ‘It was a wonderful day in glorious Durban sunshine and our sports stars gave their all!’

Lux Gordon Head of Sport delighted as the referee and was thrilled to see a wonderful family event where both sport and camaraderie was celebrated by all.
