Designers go glam for charity

Local fashion designers will create garments to give to those who have made a difference.

FASHION designers Karen Monk Klijnstra, Bianca Warren and Kathrin Kidger were all given the task of creating a glamorous item for The Sunflower Fund’s Charity Ball.

These glitzy creations will be awarded to people who have made a significant difference to The Sunflower Fund, at the high profile fundraising event on Friday, 9 May at Durban’s Elangeni Hotel.

The event aims to pay tribute to the kindness, compassion and selflessness of humanity and all the funds raised will be used to recruit caring, committed, ethnically diverse bone marrow stem cell donors for inclusion on the South African Bone Marrow Registry. The more donors on the Registry, the more hope leukaemia patients have of finding their 1:100 000 donor match.

To put your name on the waiting list for tickets or to expose your business to 250 guests by sponsoring a much needed prize, contact Stephanie Berry on 078 207 9041 or steph@sunflowerfund.org.za
