Take note of road closures
There will be road closures on the M19 for construction works on the overhead pedestrian bridge.
CONSTRUCTION of the N2/Umgeni Road Interchange is currently underway and the contractor will close lanes on the M19 at the Western traffic light of the interchange from the N2 north to M19 and M19 to Inanda Road Service Road, for construction works on the overhead pedestrian bridge.
The contractor will be closing one lane at a time on the M19 east and then one lane at a time on the M19 west to ensure traffic movement at all times.
The lanes will be closed between the following times:
• 10pm Tuesday 1 July to 4am on Wednesday, 2 July.
• 10pm Wednesday 2 July to 4am on Thursday, 3 July.
Residents and motorists are urged to be cautious, use alternative routes and plan their trips to leave much earlier than normal during this time.
