KZN performers are encouraged to audition in uShaka Marine World's Search For The Stars.
USHAKA Marine World is looking for KwaZulu-Natal’s new and emerging talents to add some special sparkle to this coming festive season in celebration of the park turning 10 this year.
Announcing this year’s uShaka Search For The Stars competition in partnership with the Department of Arts and Culture, entertainment and events manager of uShaka Marine World, Wayne Scott, said all concerned were looking forward to seeing and hearing what the province’s best performers have up their sleeves.
uShaka Search For The Stars is open to both amateurs and professionals and not only includes singers like hip hop, pop, rock, kwaito and acapella groups and dancers, but also speciality acts like the mime artists, jugglers, magicians and acrobats. Search for the Stars excludes poetry, drama, maskandi and isicathamiya.
Both individuals and groups are invited to audition on 13, 14, 20 and 21 September at 9am at uShaka Marine World.
The finals will be on Saturday, 27 and Sunday, 28 September at uShaka Marine World from 9am. The winners will be contracted to perform as entertainers at uShaka Marine World on an ad-hoc basis for an entire year.
