Help make a difference

Child Welfare Durban and District invites you to make a lasting impact in a child’s life.

THANDEKA, a nine-year-old girl who lives at one of Child Welfare Durban and District Child and Youth Care Centres, would like to become a lawyer.

Back to school seems like the end of the Christmas fun for many children but it also means new dreams and wishes for the boys and girls at Child Welfare Durban and District, especially Thandeka who wants to study law.

For others, January also means they will be attending school for the first time in their little lives. It’s not always easy for the 234 children that Child Welfare Durban and District cares for as they face challenges relating to lack of proper school gear and lack of proper stationery.

“That’s where you come in. Put a smile on our children’s faces this New Year by making a special donation towards the Back to School initiative. Your donations will make this young girl’s dream possible. You will help Thandeka achieve her goals, enjoy school, restore her confidence and see her dream come true. We welcome any form of donations ranging from school uniforms, school bags, school shoes, stationery lunch boxes and financial donations,” said Irene Okoye from Child Welfare Durban and District.
