CPF hosts fun walk

Point Police CPF Sector 1 has partnered with Umthombo to host a fun walk which will aim to create awareness of the plight of street children.

POINT Police Community Forum Sector 1, in conjuction with Umthombo, is hosting a 3km fun walk on 29 March from 7am.

Together with the Point CPF, Umthombo aims to create a greater awareness around vulnerable children who are found on the streets of Durban and show how the community can help these children reject alcohol abuse, drug abuse and refrain from violence and crime.

Registration will be from 7am to 7.30am, with the walk starting at 8am. The walk will start and finish at Umthombo, 14 Giligan Street, Point.

Every finisher will receive a hotdog and water. Plenty of spot prizes will be on offer.

Entrance is free and the first 100 entrants will receive a T-shirt. Participants are encouraged to donate small contributions, non-perishable food items or clothing to Umthombo.
