Six arrested in joint operation

Six people were arrested in a joint operation in Florida and Lambert Roads recently.

SIX suspects were arrested and a stolen vehicle recovered in a joint security operation on Florida Road on 8 May.

The operation, which was coordinated by Enforce Security Services and involved SAPS, Metro Police, the Durban Flying Squad, Durban Dog Unit, and the CPF, initially concentrated on the Lambert and Florida Road intersection, and yielded three quick arrests for drug dealing and possession. Three suspects linked to two separate cases of robbery were also arrested and a stolen vehicle was recovered on 10th Avenue.

The Florida Road UIP thanked Enforce – made up of Enforce Detectives, Enforce Guarding, and Enforce Electronics – for coordinating the security operation and said the operation was “invaluable and helped cement relationships”.

“The co-ordinated show of force was a welcome sight on the road and with planned future operations will assist in ensuring a safe and welcome environment for visitors and business operators alike. We look forward to building on a healthy working relationship with SAPS, Metro Police and CPF. Thanks guys, great work!” said precinct manager, Jarrod Evans.
