Happy faces on Mandela Day

MEMBERS from Umbilo SAPS visited the Happy Faces Pre-School in Deodar Road last Friday, as part of their Mandela Day celebrations.

The children were reminded who Nelson Mandela was and his wish for us to love, share and live in a rainbow nation.

“We were taught by Nelson Mandela to be happy, to give and share and so we decided to give back to the children,” said Lt Pumzile Makaula.

She read to the children and Sgt Beverley Manqele taught them about safety rules for children.

The children were each given a balloon, whistle and lollipop, and enjoyed time with the policewomen.
