Man arrested for stealing wedding novelty

A man was arrested by Berea SAPS for allegedly stealling wedding dresses from a wedding store on Thursday.

A suspect was caught red handed by Berea police on Friday morning for allegedly stealing wedding novelty items from an exclusive Windermere wedding store.

According to Suzannah Patterson, owner of The Wedding Store, she got a call around 6am about the break-in. “We had been broken into two weeks ago so it wasn’t a complete shock. A neighbour from the block of flats next to us heard breaking glass and contacted the police. When I got there the police and Blue Security were at the scene,” Patterson said.

While the two suspects made off with some items of wedding stock, one of the suspects was caught hiding in the bushes with some wedding items and arrested.
