Berea housebreakers arrested

Blue Security officers caught housebreakers in the act, when breaking into properties over the past week.

BLUE Security armed response officers arrested three alleged housebreakers on the Berea over the past week recovering stolen copper pipes and other items.

Blue Security operations manager Brian Jackson said housebreakers had forced open the driveway gate of a business premises in Lillian Ngoyi (Windermere) Road at around 6am on Friday.

“Housebreakers forced open a window and gained entry into the building. Our officer arrived on the scene and arrested a suspect who was in possession of stolen property,” he said.

Jackson said the suspect was handed over to the Berea SAPS who attended the scene of the crime.

Jackson added that in a separate incident a man and a woman were arrested on a property in Pitcairn Road in Glenmore at 10.12am last Tuesday.

“The suspects were caught at the back of the property with stolen goods, including copper pipes and door frames and were arrested at the scene,” he said.
