FLORIDA Road UIP security officer Lloyd Zondi received an award for his pro-active actions after he arrested a suspect following a theft out of motor vehicle in 10th Avenue on 25 August.
“Unfortunately the victim didn’t want to open a case, and while this is every victim’s right, the UIP would like to encourage all victims of crime, no matter how small, to open a case with the SAPS as it helps the UIP in its’ efforts to secure more resources for the road,” said precinct manager, Jarrod Evans.
This proactive work by the UIP security guard is a small victory that help the UIP in its overall goal.
