Mango warns against recruitment scam

Mango Airlines urges the public to ignore fraudulent advertising offering internships and job opportunities.

MANGO Airlines urges the public to ignore fraudulent advertising offering internships and job opportunities at the airline.

The advertisement and subsequent correspondence with applicants ultimately requires administration fees and promises training, employment guarantees and in some instances accommodation and subsistence allowances. The scam has also impacted other airlines recently.

“We urge the public not to respond to the fraudulent ads. The email addresses indicated on the fraudulent advertisement originate at a free service email domain; and is not associated with flymango.com.,” said spokesperson Hein Kaiser, who advises that any queries or communication must either be directed to or be received from official Mango channels.

He added that should anyone doubt the authenticity of communication, to contact the airline immediately. Several enquiries, as a consequence of the fraudulent advertisement, have been received from all over the country this week.
