Resident warns of near kidnapping

A MORNINGSIDE resident has urged parents to be aware after a woman assaulted her and tried to kidnap her children.

The resident, who did not want to be named, was walking her five- and four-year-old children to school in the vicinity of 7th Avenue, when she was approached by a woman who assaulted her and tried to grab her children.

The mother managed to get away, with her children, but after she had dropped them at school, she again saw the woman, who had changed her clothes by this time.

She urged residents to be aware, as she is concerned this could happen again.

She opened a case of assault and attempted kidnapping at Berea SAPS.
