Flatfoot dance school opens it’s doors again

Be sure to put on your dancing shoes and head to Flatfoot Dance company this December

This December, the Flatfoot Dance company will host its third annual Summer Dance School.

The Summer School’s aim is to push dance skills of all dancers, be it still training or professional, and allow them to work in an environment with skilled choreographers, teachers and workshop facilitators.

The training will utilise Flatfoot’s own ‘African Release Technique’ that is a mixture of Graham, Hawkins, Horton and the American Skinner Release Techniques.“This is a chance for dancers to have great fun, get fit and open themselves up to a life changing dance experience.” explained Lliane Loots, Artistic Director of Flatfoot Dance Company.

The programme will begin on 10 December and conclude on 12 December at the Howard College campus UKZN.

An intense three day programme that is suitable for ages twelve and above for all experience groups. Certificates of participation will be issued at the programme’s end.

Two options will be available. The first is a full three day programme from 9.30am to 3pm which costs R500 per person. The second being the three morning only technique class, which is from 9.30am to 11.15am and is R300 per person.
