Possession of unlicenced firearms and ammunition
ON Saturday at around 10.10am Umbilo SAPS officers stopped and searched a charcoal VW Polo Vivo in Sydney Road.
Three firearms with live rounds were found in possession of the occupants.
The men were arrested and charged with possession of unlicenced firearms and ammunition.
Noise disturbance
UMBILO SAPS station commander Gerald Mkhize wants to remind the public that they will be arrested for any kind of disturbance of peace in the area.
This comes after two men were arrested on Monday for drinking in public.
A group of 20 were drinking together in Campbell Road, Umbilo. When the police tried to disperse them, two of the men became aggressive and intimidated the police. The men were arrested.

UMBILO SAPS urges the community to be aware of an increase in armed robbery and car hijackings in the area. Police urge the public to be vigilant.
