Pedestrians hit on the pavement
Two pedestrians who were walking on a pavement in Durban's CBD were run over by a vehicle this afternoon.
TWO pedestrians who were walking on the pavement in Gillespie Street near West Street in the city centre were run over by a vehicle this afternoon.
According to Garrith Jamieson, operations director of Rescue Care, just before 1pm paramedics were called to a scene to find two patients lying on the sidewalk. “A vehicle had veered out of control and collided with the pedestrians whilst they walked on the pavement. Advanced Life Support intervention was needed to stabilise one of the patients before transporting them to hospital,” explained Jamieson.
SAPS were on the scene and will investigate the incident.
