Reports of a bomb scare at Davenport Square have spread on social media, however security at the scene and police are keeping mum about the current situation.
The SAPS Explosives Unit, Dog Unit and the Fire department are currently on the scene. However they are unable to speak to the media. Witnesses at the scene say a suspicious parcel at the Post Net store was the cause for concern.
The centre remains open and only the Post Net is closed while explosives unit officers investigate the scene.
